Three types of compost bins, a rain barrel and other composting accessories are being offered for sale at deep discounts by the Village of Irvington, the Greenburgh Nature Center and the O’Hara Nature Center. 

Visit westchestercompostersale.ecwid.com to view the items for sale and to place your order.  Orders must be received by June 22nd.  Pick up your purchase on June 24, from 9am–1pm in the parking lot at the Irvington Public Library, 12 South Astor Street, Irvington, NY.  Questions about the sale?  Email green@irvingtonny.gov.

Irvington Public Library has invited Elisa Zazzera to demonstrate how to layer kitchen scraps and garden waste to yield rich compost, or what gardeners call “Black Gold.” She will be in the garden of the Irvington Public Library, located next to the back parking lot, on Saturday, June 24, from 9am–1pm. Why not stop by?  She will be happy to answer your questions about composting and she will try to help troubleshoot any problems you may be having.
