2010 Popcorn & Puppet Festival
@ MacEachron Waterfront Park, Hastings
Sunday, May 16 from 3pm - 6pm
This Sunday, MacEachron Park will be transformed into a magical wonderland full of colorful creature’s large and small; live gamelan music; interactive art installations; arts and crafts; delicious foods; one of a kind wares from local artists. Performances from seven critically acclaimed NY puppet companies: Cosmic Bicycle Theatre, Puppet Junction, Soup, New York Puppet Library and Puppeteers Cooperative, Drama of Works, Fidget & Loon, Opposable Thumb Theater and The 12mn Raw Voices. Electric Junkyard Gamelan provides live music. Running in tandem with the puppet pieces is a documentary called “Puppet Fest “09” Directed by Z. Briggs Presented by The Puppeteers of America. Interactive art installations from artists Matt Hogan and Hank Liebeskind. Twelve local artisans, including students from Hastings schools, and other local vendors will be offering original and one–of-a-kind items. Puppet-themed arts and craft tables for children of all ages. Delicious food and drinks from local chefs. A PTSA Fundraiser and Presented by 12 Miles North [link]. Getting to Hastings-on-Hudson:

Directions from North and South
• Saw Mill River Parkway to Exit 12, Farragut Pkwy
• One mile to light • Bear left down Main Street (A&P will be on your right), make right at light at Warburton
• Make first left on Spring Street
• Make left on Southside (Hastings Library will be in front you)
• Make right at Hastings Station Café
• Go over bridge (train tracks) to River Street, make right at stop sign
• Event is on the left after the tennis courts at MacEachron Park

Metro North – Hudson Line
Take train to Hastings on Hudson stop (just 33 minutes from Grand Central)
MacEachron Park is across the street from the Hastings Train Station, ½ block to the north.

Rain Location: Hastings High School Gym
Directions from North and South
• Saw Mill River Parkway to Exit 12, Farragut Pkwy
• 3/4 mile to Stop Sign, High School will be on your Right
