12 milesnorth presents
TOAST FOR THE HOLIDAYS
A Multi Media Interactive Art Installation

45 Main Street, Hastings-on-Hudson

UPDATE: We have transformed the front half of the space into a Lewis Carol Inspired Installation called "Down The Rabbit Hole". Bonnie Brinkley, Binny Tercek, Mat Kowalski, Matt Hogan, Claudia Engelbrecht, Melissa Ehrenreich, Dierdre Douglas and myself have all contributed to a magical stroll through wonderland. We are working toward a live performance Saturday afternoon to accompany the installation.
12 milesnorth is extending Toast For The Holidays, a temporary pop-up art installation due to positive community reaction and local support.
The installation, conceived by Liz Liebeskind showcases art by local artists Matt Hogan, Barbara Prisament, Katie Riedy, Howard Grossman, Dana Williams, Binny Tercek, George Englebrecht, Claudia Englebrecht, Hank Liebeskind, Mat Kowalski, Joy Solomon and Deidre Carey. The installation also features music, poetry, puppetry, improvisation and film.
In addition to the art, the space offers a comfortable seating area where patrons can relax, enjoy the programming, the wifi and the company of friends.
The founders of 12 milesnorth state, “It’s great to bring people together in a kind of local living room that celebrates art.” Liz Liebeskind of 12 milesnorth adds, “Just to keep it fluid, we’re reinventing the space for the last two weeks, creating an interactive Lewis Caroll, inspired installation. This has been a fantastic experiment every step of the way. I am thrilled so many artists are reaching out to us and want to participate at this venue.”
The space hosts a series of events for both adults and children. Check back here for the schedule of events or visit 45 Main Street. Questions? Liz@12milesnorth.org
